Welcome to the new school year! I’m delighted to have your child join our third-grade class! As we embark on this exciting journey together, I look forward to a year filled with growth, learning, and memorable experiences.
In third grade, students will delve into a variety of subjects, enhancing their skills in reading, writing, mathematics (specifically multiplications and fractions) science, and social studies. Our curriculum is designed to foster a love of learning, encourage curiosity, and build a strong foundation for future academic success.
Communication is key to a successful school year, and value your partnership. Throughout the year, we will keep you informed about classroom activities, important dates, and your child’s progress through tests posted in our Google Classroom and parent-teacher conferences. To help your child have a smooth transition into third grade, here are a few important details:
1. School Hours: Our school day begins at 8:10am and ends at 2:30pm Please ensure your child arrives on time and is picked up promptly.
2. Supplies: A list of required school supplies has been sent home. If you need another copy, please let me know.
3. Homework: Homework will be assigned regularly to reinforce classroom learning. We encourage you to establish a consistent homework routine and provide a quiet space for your child to complete their assignments.
